Retailer-supplier collaboration has been an elusive goal for some years. Manufacturers focused on brand management while retailers focused on category management. Because of this, manufacturers and retailers have used different data sources and different analytical approaches to analyze the impact of initiatives.

Not surprisingly, retailers are often skeptical of any analyses that manufacturers present, assuming there is some bias in their results. This has led to a lack of trust between retailers and manufacturers that has not allowed collaboration to realize the value of its promise.

Aligning efforts to better understand shoppers and their needs allows retailers and manufacturers to focus their combined resources on the most relevant and valuable initiatives. But both trading partners require the appropriate tools to provide the objective and transparent evaluation of initiatives that will build the required levels of trust to unlock the value from collaboration.

During this interactive Webcast presented by Convenience Store News and Progressive Grocer and sponsored by Applied Predictive Technologies, executives from retail chains Meijer and Supervalu, and packaged food giant Kraft will discuss how they have leveraged technology to enhance their collaboration with their industry partners to build successful marketing and merchandising strategies and offerings around an objective view of the consumer.

And following the Webcast, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the presenters during a live Q&A session.
